Moonlight

Behind The Song

i wrote this song at 19 when i was dog-sitting for my cousin with his Martin SC. This song holds a special place in my heart because it was the first song i fully wrote to a guitar track that i created from scratch. even though technically it was loosely based off the song "Loom" by Zach Bryan. but I think if Zach heard this song he wouldn't mind.

Moonlight

I can see my future in your eyes

those blue pearls they brighten up my life

and just like the moon light i use them as my guide

lead me down a road that's hard to find

sometimes I wonder if you see me

the same way that I perceive you

an angel sent from heaven meant to keep me

level headed

as I go through this life without a clue

how could I possibly explain

that you make this poor boy feel just like a king

just a cowpoke from CT is all how most do see me

What makes you see what others round here cant

Your truly the peak of my existence

And maybe that makes me seem untring

Or maybe it shows just how perfect you truly are

And how id never trade the moonlight in your eyes

I can see my future in your eyes

those blue pearls they brighten up my life

and just like the moon light i use them as my guide

lead me down a road that's hard to find
